Our organization participated in EU Project Eurocarp (022665) under FP6 wich took place during 01/01/2006 - 31/12/2008. And during this time we spent more than 3,5 months for preparing and proceeding our financial and activity reports and other organizational moments. The Project finished about a year and a half, but we still havent received our payment fully. Just several days ago we were informed that the problem with payment will be soled in the nearest future. So I am sure, that the financial and administrative provisions related to the FP and other European funding instruments should be urgently simplify for the scientists and specialist have mauch more time for their researh and scientific work. 8 Mar 22:18 Russia Institute of Problems in Mechanical Engineering Alexander Fradkov Indeed, some data in the applications and reports seem unnesessary. 30 Apr 12:04 Russia International Institute of Earthquake Prediction Theory and Mathematical Geophysics, Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Kossobokov ... And Folly (Doctor-like) controuling skill, ... (William Shakespeare SONNET LXVI - THE 1609 QUARTO VERSION) 24 Mar 09:17 Russia JSK Tekchnopark Kremenky Ivanova Margarita The main airm of research is consists in wisely using harmonious technologies of the nature in which there is no concept - waste 25 Mar 15:15 Russia Kotelnikov Institute of Radioengineering and Electronics RAS Viatcheslav Meriakri If it will be some positive result due to this Declaration we will have much more time for scientific, not bureaucratic work 3 Mar 22:35 Russia Moscow State Regional University Sergey Pyastolov We support the decleared principals and hope they shall be expanded on other parts of the world besides Europe. 5 Mar 10:43 Russia Shemyakin-Ovchinnikov Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences Victor Tsetlin Doing science in Russia is not easy: awfully long time needed to receive reagents and small eqippment, problems with customs (on the average we have to pay 1.5 -fold more as compared to ordering and receiving the reagents in Europe) , many restrictions on the exchange of samples with foreign collaborators. I was happy to become a member of an FP-7 supported large project Neurocypres. Again, money transfer to a Russian bank is an addtional headache. The time-sheets required by EU complicate the situation even more, are absurd, and would be appropriate for work being done somewhere under restricted conditions, rather than for a collaboration between scieentists of many countries. 23 Mar 17:32 Russia Shirshov Institute of Oceanology Konstantin Korotenko Now I see that it was an ugly idea to run such big, awkward projects as FP6 and FP7. They gave more profit to bureaucratic structures than scientists. My opinion: collaborations in EU mostly must be bilaterian and and based on personal communication and scientific interaction. That is the way to get rid of administrative ‘monkey business’. 8 May 12:42 Russia St.Petersburg State University Grigory Feofilov The present level of bureaucracy in science is extremely high and the current tendency is pessimistic, it kills time of reserachers in enormous amounts, it blocks the fast moving teams, and it makes science less and less attractive for young people, it is definitely an obstacle that should be removed, because it kills our future. 17 Feb 16:44 Russia The Institute of Sociology (Russian Academy of Sciences) Olga Savinskaya It takes a LOT of time, mush more that we supposed in the begining. 16 Mar 00:14 Russia Zoologiczl Institute Russian Academy of Sciences Mikhalevich Valeria I vote for providing the ways to all the researches simplier.
